San Francisco’s Salesforce Park is an amazing modern marvel in the Financial District. The verdant oasis rests 70 feet above the street atop the Salesforce Transit Center, and it’s completely free and open for the public to visit at any time.

It also hosts a collection of free events every week, including yoga classes, boot camps, live music, bird walks, garden tours, drum circles, tours from SF City Guides, and much more. Read on for details.

One-time and monthly events at Salesforce Park this March

  • Spring Fling (March 30, 10 am- 2 pm) – Family-friendly event for spring includes an egg hunt for children, face painting, live music, crafts, and more.
  • Birding Walks (March 6/First Wednesdays, 8-9 am) – Golden Gate Audubon Society hosts educational birding walks for birders of all levels.
  • Garden Tours (March 27/Fourth Wednesdays, 10-11:30 am) – SF Botanical Garden hosts garden tours with urban gardening tips to improve the environment.
  • Bollywood Dance (March 16 /Third Saturdays, 2-3 pm)Learn fun choreography at this all-level Bollywood dance class.

Weekly events at Salesforce Park

Mondays

  • ZUMBA (6-7 pm) – A high-energy ZUMBA class by Fitness SF.

Wednesdays

  • Rooftop Jazz (11:30 am-1:30 pm) Bay Area jazz musicians will play live music at the lunch hour.

Thursdays

  • Express Bootcamp (8-9 am)Intensive total-body bootcamp workout by Fitness SF.
  • Toddler Thursday (10:30-11:15 am)Blue Bear School of Music hosts outdoor fun for toddlers ages 1-4.
  • HIGH Fitness (1-2 pm) An aerobic bodyweight workout.
  • Words & Stories (5-7 pm) – A reading series with work by authors from The Writers Grotto. Thursdays in February only.

Fridays

  • Vinyasa Yoga (12:30-1:30 pm) Beginner-friendly Vinyasa yoga by Fitness SF.

Saturdays

  • Metcon (10-11 am) Metabolic Conditioning total-body workout.

Salesforce Park may be San Francisco’s newest public park, but it makes quite a statement. Be sure to check it out from 6 am to 8 pm every day or until 9 pm on Sundays. Find it at 425 Mission Street in San Francisco’s Yerba Buena district.
