Sugarloaf Provincial Park in New Brunswick is set to host the Crankworx Summer Series this August.
This marks the event’s debut in the province, promising an international spectacle for mountain biking enthusiasts.
The event will be part of the Adrenaline Bike Festival, renowned for its competitive and skill-based events, catering to various ages and abilities.
“We are so excited to bring an event of international caliber to Sugarloaf Provincial Park, where local mountain bike enthusiasts will have an opportunity to ride alongside professional athletes,” said Tourism, Heritage and Culture Minister Tammy Scott-Wallace in a news release.
“New Brunswick has a lot to offer, and this is a perfect event to showcase one of the best rated bike parks in Atlantic Canada.”
The festival is scheduled from August 16 to 18, kicking off with a Dual Slalom competition and a lively party in downtown Campbellton featuring a Dirt Jump Invitational. The following days will see a variety of competitions, including Slopestyle, a new addition to the FMB World Tour, and Downhill races on the challenging “L’Acadienne” trail. Kidsworx events will offer younger participants a mix of competitive and non-competitive activities.
Sugarloaf Bike Park, the venue for the event, is noted for its diverse trails designed by Gravity Logic, ranging from beginner to expert levels, ensuring an engaging experience for all riders.
The park is situated in the scenic Appalachian Mountain region, offering a mix of adventure and leisure activities for visitors.
Accommodations include a campground with rustic shelters, Ch-A-lets, and campsites, providing easy access to the park’s amenities.
