Each year Baltimore County and Baltimore City, Maryland hosts Fleet Week for visitors to explore some of the best military vessels and enjoy other family fun activities. This event pays tribute to the service members, past and present, who defend our freedoms at sea and in the air.

Maryland Fleet Week & Flyover Baltimore, is a week-long celebration happening from June 12-18, 2024. This event combines “Fleet, Flights, and Festivals,” offering the public a unique opportunity to:

  • Board Contemporary Naval Ships: Visitors can experience firsthand the work of sailors and explore modern naval vessels.
  • Explore Historical Vessels: Here people are able to gain insight into naval life throughout history.
  • STEM Activities and Educational Programs: Engage in maritime and aviation-related STEM activities, encouraging young enthusiasts to consider careers in the services and technology.

The festival takes place across multiple locations, including the Inner Harbor, Fells Point, North Locust Point, and Martin State Airport.  Visitors will experience a variety of activities such as ship tours, flyovers, and educational events, providing an exciting and educational experience for attendees in both Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

FLEET: Ships started to arrive in Baltimore on Wednesday, June 12 and include United States Navy and Coast Guard vessels, Army Corps of Engineers vessels, and many other working vessels. The ships are open for public tours Thursday, June 13 through Monday, June 17 from 10AM to 5PM.

FLYOVERS: Visitors will experience exciting flyovers of both modern and historic military and civilian aircrafts, both Saturday and Sunday, June 15-16, over Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.

FESTIVALS: There will be three festivals during Maryland Fleet Week that will have live musical performances, exhibitors, food and drink, military displays and other family friendly activities.  The three locations of the festivals are:

  • Baltimore’s Inner Harbor West Shore Park: June 14-16 from 11am-8pm, 401 Light Street, Baltimore, MD 21202.
  • Fells Point: Friday, June 14-16 from 2pm-9pm, Saturday, June 15 from 11am to 9pm and Sunday, June 16 from 11am to 4pm. Fells Point Town Square and Broadway Pier. 1701 Thames St., Baltimore, MD 21231
  • Martin State Airport Open House and Festival: June 15-16 from 9am-4pm each day, 701 Wilson Point Road, Middle River, MD 21220
