EVENT: Walk to End Homelessness—May 5

DESCRIPTION: Join Family Promise Metrowest at Natick High School for a 2.3 mile walk on May 5 to help raise funds and awareness about the impact of lack of affordable housing on families in our community.  Together we can transform the lives of families with children facing homelessness across the region.  All funds raised support the programs that help families stabilize their housing and build brighter futures.

Check-in starts at noon and enjoy hamburgers/hot dogs served by the Natick Rotary Club, treats from Kona Ice, music, face-painting, corn hole and other activities. After a brief welcome and program, the Walk will start at 1pm.

EVENT: “Oldtown” Walking Tour of South Natick—May 5

DESCRIPTION: Join local historian Terri Evans for a stroll through the heart of South Natick. The tour highlights Natick’s early history as a “Praying Town” and the 19th-century residents who inspired Harriet Beecher Stowe’s novel, Oldtown Folks. Tours last 60 minutes and are capped at 12 people.

EVENT: All Aboard! Bringing Accessible and Adaptive Cycling to Natick—May 11

DESCRIPTION: Town of Natick Community Services Department is pleased to present All Aboard, an accessible and adaptive cycling program. Anyone that has a mobility limitation and wants to experience cycling is welcome to participate.

Natick is partnering with All Out Adventures, who will bring a fleet of adaptive and accessible tricycles and bicycles to Natick. All rides will start at the Mechanic Street lot of the Cochituate Rail Trail. This is a free program, supported by funding from the MetroWest Health Foundation and the MathWorks Community Grant Program, in partnership with the Friends of Natick Trails.
