Garden enthusiasts and music lovers unite for a harmonious day of tours and activities!

The Sooke Philharmonic Society is thrilled to announce the much-awaited return of its annual Sooke Secret Garden Tour (SSGT) scheduled for Saturday, June 1st and Sunday, June 2nd.

And that’s not all! All lucky attendees will have the chance to catch an outdoor garden concert on Sunday, June 2nd at 4:30 p.m. conducted by Yariv Aloni.

Immerse yourself in the serenity of some of the most captivating gardens in Sooke, the beauty of live music, the chance to shop from the plant vendors and food available from Bull & Sons.

This year’s tour is said to feature eight glorious gardens as well as three special destinations, including Sooke Region Museum (where the tour will start), Artisans Garden and Woodside Farms.

The Garden Tour promises this to be a wonderful journey through unique landscapes, each boasting different designs.

From sprawling sanctuaries to intimate urban oases, all of these spaces have been expertly cultivated with love by gardeners within the community.

“We are excited to showcase the diversity and creativity of local gardeners through our annual Garden Tour,” said Bonnie Sprinkling, SSGT Coordinator.

“This event is not only a celebration of gardens but also an opportunity to enjoy the music of the orchestra and view the arts of the community.”

While you’re touring, don’t forget to mingle and exchange ideas and tips with your fellow gardening enthusiasts!

There will also be members of the Victoria Master Gardeners on hand to offer guidance.

Tickets for this event will be available starting Saturday, April 20th—the proceeds will go towards supporting the Sooke Philharmonic’s mission to keep musical performances and wellness accessible to the community.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be inspired by the splendor of our local gardens.

Tickets are just under $44 and can be purchased online or at the Pharmasave in Sooke, 6716 Westcoast Road.

Bring a chair or blanket to sit on while you enjoy the outdoor concert on Sunday!
